ThingsCon day 1 is a wrap

At the end of day 1, we are very happy with ThingsCon 2015. It is only the event's second year, and already ThingsCon has become a fix anchor in the European Internet of Things (IoT), maker and connected hardware ecosystem.

The ecosystem and industry is maturing, and this is reflected in the program, the line-up of top-notch speakers, as well as the high quality of contributions from all participants. This year's ThingsCon has a strong constructive, critical perspective with a focus on social implications, which also speaks to this point. It is only appropriate that the day closed off with the launch of #iotmanifesto iotmanifesto.org

At ThingsCon, we believe that diversity and inclusivity is essential. So we are especially happy about the excellent, diverse mix of participants, which reflects diverse professional backgrounds, a mutually beneficial mix ranging from grassroots corporate, from student to seasonsed professional. The mix of participants is also truly global, and we're particularly happy about the strong presence from the Global Innovation Network.

While conversations are extending well into the night, we the team are off to get some sleep to be ready for round 2 tomorrow!

For now, here are some impressions from day 1!
